Norwegian Wood Cluster (NWC) aims to be a strong and internationally recognized cluster within wood-based, industrial and sustainable building solutions. The cluster consists of more than 25 members and the number of members is increasing rapidly. The cluster companies represent approximately 8 billion NOK in turnover and about 2200 employees. The members are located in south-eastern Norway (Viken and Innlandet).

The cluster strengthens competitiveness and sustainable industry, and the areas of Strategic Focus are:

• Increased competency in all stages, in the short and long term
• Increased innovation – especially research and market-based innovation
• Industrialization - development and implementation of advanced solutions

The cluster aims to join projects and other efforts that support these strategic focus areas and is actively involved in the Biobord Joint Agenda for the digital forestry.
